Mrs. Gilbart joined the CLS staff in 2009. Her previous experience includes teaching first grade in Frederick County Public Schools and being the mentor teacher for student teachers at Hood College. At CLS, Mrs. Gilbart served as the Special Education Resource Teacher and the Assistant Principal for Academics before stepping into the role of Principal.
Mrs. Gilbart partners with parents who are navigating the special education process, and is responsible for the implementation of IEP’s and 504 Plans. She provides Wilson reading intervention services and coordinates Fundations instruction. Mrs. Gilbart believes that outstanding, engaging instruction provided in a safe, loving, Christian environment is the key to an excellent education for students at CLS. She works with each teacher to be certain that every child’s unique needs are met. Mrs. Gilbart and her husband have two daughters who have benefited from the rigorous academic program, enrichment opportunities, and faith-based learning at CLS. She is a member at Grace Lutheran Church in Westminster, and enjoys scrapbooking, cooking, and reading.

Mrs. Drozinski is happy to join us for her 21st year here at CLS! Prior to CLS, she taught for Baltimore City and Carroll County Public Schools. An active member of Grace United Methodist Church/ North Carroll Cooperative Parish, Mrs. D. is involved in Summer camps/VBS, and missions/outreach programs. Jane and her husband, Rick, reside in Hampstead. They have 3 adult children, 4 grandchildren, and the famous Lois the turtle. Oldest son and family reside in South Carolina. Their daughter, also a Kindergarten teacher, lives in Memphis, TN. Their youngest son, an arborist, lives in the Hereford area. Mrs. Drozinski enjoys reading, photography, American history, and spending time with family, especially the grandkids!

Mrs. Ferguson has taught in public and private schools in Baltimore City and Carroll County, Maryland and in Adams County, Pennsylvania. She and her husband also home-schooled their two sons for 8 years. Her sons and daughter-in-law now live on the West Coast, giving her opportunities to travel across the country from time to time. Mrs. Ferguson’s teaching certifications have been through the state of Maryland and the Association of Christian Schools International. She is an active member of Westminster Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and baking, working crossword puzzles, frequenting yard sales and antique shops, and reading. This is Mrs. Ferguson’s 10th year of teaching at CLS.

Mrs. Segessenman is starting her tenth year at CLS. She has taught for 33 years in second through fifth grades. Prior to CLS, she taught in Prince George’s County and Carroll County Public Schools. She has three children. Her son, Daniel is finishing his doctorate in geology in Oregon. Her daughter, Heather, works in graphic design at DGI in Hanover, PA. Her youngest daugther, Amber, is a junior at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. Mrs. Segessenman is very active in her church, Barts-Centenery United Methodist Church. She teaches Sunday School, directs VBS, and cleans. Her favorite things to do are spend time with her family, creating crafts, working with puppets, and jet skiing.

Mrs. King is in her fourth year at CLS. She taught fifth grade in Bellefonte, PA and in recent years worked for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland and a local law firm before returning to the classroom. Along with spending time with her husband and four daughters, she enjoys going to the beach and watching Ravens games.

This will be Mrs. Rose’s second year here at CLS. She began her career path as a registered dietitian working for the Prince William County Head Start program. Then she chose to home-school her three children for many years. Next, she enjoyed various positions in the Howard County Public School system, with long term substituting being her favorite, while working on her teacher certification. All of these endeavors involved interacting and mentoring valuable students. As her husband says, “Being a teacher is what she is created to do!” Besides coming up with ideas for the classroom, Mrs. Rose loves spending time with her husband and three children. They all like to hike, play volleyball and soccer, watch movies, play card games, and laugh together.

This is Ms. Ricca’s fifth year at Carroll Lutheran School. Prior to CLS, she worked for Carroll County Public Schools. Prior to working for CCPS, Ms. Ricca worked for seventeen years for the College of Education at the University of Maryland College Park. She has also served as a Religious Education teacher and Confirmation catechist for St. Joseph’s Catholic Community. In her spare time, she likes to read, hike, and watch the History and Smithsonian Channels, MPT, and WETA.

Mrs. McLeod is joining us after 30 years of teaching in both Baltimore County and Carroll County Public Schools. Kathy and her husband live in a rural valley outside of Hampstead with their beloved Australian Labradoodle and two British Shorthair cats. They have one son, a social worker who lives nearby in Hampstead. Kathy describes herself as a bibliophile and salt girl because she loves to read and vacation at the beach. She enjoys dining out, as well as trying new recipes at home. She and her husband enjoy entertaining their family and friends, especially during the summer months. They attend Lazarus United Church of Christ in Lineboro.

Ms. Baber is starting her third year as the middle school science teacher at CLS. As a CLS alumni, Ms. Baber is eager to continue teaching at CLS to support her students while they learn and grow throughout the school year. Along with enjoying outdoor activities, hiking and camping, she also enjoys crafting and reading. The science classroom houses a variety of plants that Ms. Baber is excited to share with students! Ms. Baber is an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Upperco, MD.

Mr. Kane is beginning his eighth year at CLS. He has researched, published, and presented in the field of logic. Mr. Kane works with students to take care of our middle school guinea pigs, Twinkle and Cookie. He enjoys providing musical accompaniment for chapel songs on his guitar, using recess duty as part of a fitness routine, and working with students on flag raising, lowering, and folding skills. Mr. Kane belongs to St. Augustine Church in Elkridge.

This is Mrs. Potito’s eighth year at CLS. She has spent the last 18 years working in the library at Mount Airy Middle School. She loves to read and has worked with various reading programs in the State of Maryland. She and her husband, Mike, spent the summer visiting their son and daughter-in-law in NC before traveling to Cincinnati, Chicago and Milwaukee for baseball games.

Mrs. Gordon is starting her fourth year at CLS and is very excited to return as the art teacher! This will be her tenth year working in private schools and has several years prior experience teaching middle school art. Mrs. Gordon met her husband while volunteering as an EMT/Firefighter in Montgomery County. They moved to Westminster, where Thomas was a paramedic firefighter. They have two young daughters, Hannah who turned two in July and Abigail who will turn one in November. Mrs. Gordon enjoys spending time with her family, reading, crafting, thrift storing, watching Food Network and exploring new places.

Mrs. Howard is in her third year on our teaching staff here at CLS. She has 24 years of classroom experience as a Christian school teacher in Harford, Montgomery, and Carroll Counties; and 2 years experience working with behaviorally challenged students in the P.R.I.D.E program for Carroll County Public schools. Mrs. Howard has 2 daughters. The oldest is in her third year studying Nursing at Charleston Southern University in South Carolina. The youngest is a senior at Westminster High School while also taking classes at Carroll Community College. Mrs. Howard’s husband in a Senior Accountant at Montgomery College in Rockville. The Howards are members of New Hope Fellowship Church where Mr. Howard serves as an Elder. Mrs. Howard loves her cat- Sugar, live theatre, (especially musical theatre), movies, photography, and reading!

This is Valerie’s first year teaching at CLS. She has taught in Montgomery County for the past 13 years. The First 6 years she was full time, then with the arrival of their second child, she then went part time in the county and part-time at her home church, Redeemer Lutheran Church in Damascus, working as a Children’s ministry director. Most recently, she has become a Biblical Parent Coach through Biblical Parenting University. She lives in Mount Airy with her husband, Ryan, and her three children, Emily who is going into 6th grade, Ethan who is going into 4th grade and Evelyn who is 3 years old.
Valerie played volleyball for two years in college and played volleyball and lacrosse in high school. She has also been a volunteer coach for her daughters recreation lacrosse and volleyball teams over the last 5 years. She has a deep love for the Lord and a passion for sharing God’s love with others. She also enjoys exploring new places, spending time outdoors, and being with her family. She is excited to join the CLS staff!

Mrs. Glantzberg is beginning her eighth year at Carroll Lutheran School as the Director of our Before and After School Care Program. She is excited to repeat her role as Instructional Assistant, partnering with classroom teachers to work with a wide variety of students each day. Jennifer and her husband Charles, have one son in 12th grade at FSK high school. They live in Westminster. She is actively involved at Anglican Church of the Resurrection in Lutherville. She also enjoys cooking, sewing, photography and reading.
Mrs. Frick is excited about her seventh year at CLS, as the assistant director in the Before and After Care program. She will be assisting Mrs. Potito in Media specials every week, as well as serving as the “lunch lady” where she will provide routine and safe structure in the cafeteria. Linda and her husband Tim, have two children and live in Westminster. Their son, Cody, is in the 10th grade at Westminster High School, while their daughter, Nicolette is in her second year of full time work with The Spa on West Main. Linda is very involved with the Youth Program at First Presbyterian Church of Westminster. In her spare time, she enjoys movies, reading and being outside.

Mrs. Citron brings over eleven years of teaching experience to CLS. She has taught in Arlington County Public Schools (Virginia), Alexandria City Public Schools (Virginia), Baltimore County Public Schools, and Talbot County Public Schools. She was also fortunate enough to work as an occupational therapist assistant at the Anglo-American School in Moscow when her husband was posted to the embassy. In order to ease back into teaching after being a stay at- mom, she has spent the last two years working as a special education pre-kindergarten assistant. When not at school, you can find Mrs. Citron being a chauffeur to her twin daughters (one is a dancer and one is a competitive gymnast). Her daughters will be third graders this fall at Carroll Lutheran. She is thrilled to be joining CLS!

Mrs. Monroe is excited to join CLS as the school counselor, after completing her internship last school year. She graduated from Hood College in May 2021 with her Master’s degree in School Counseling. Prior to counseling, Mrs. Monroe taught in Baltimore County Public Schools for six years in third and fourth grade. She and her husband live in Taylorsville with their 2-year-old daughter, Everly, who keeps them on their toes! She enjoys spending her free time baking, watching HGTV and the Food Network, taking walks at local parks and spending time with her family. Mrs. Monroe is eager to work with the students, staff and families at CLS this year!

Mrs. Inman is starting her fourth year at CLS. She has worked in various healthcare settings including Long-Term Care, Intensive Care, Oncology, Leadership, and Education. She currently manages the operations and support services of a local hospital in addition to working at CLS.
Mrs. Inman lives in Taneytown with her husband, three children, a new kitten named Pinto and a new puppy named Tucker. Two of those children attend CLS and the third is eagerly awaiting his chance to start Kindergarten at CLS next year. The Inmans are members at St. Luke’s (Winters) Lutheran Church. Mrs. Inman and her family love spending time together reading, baking, gardening, exploring new places, going for walks, hikes, and bike rides.
Ezra has seven siblings, and was homeschooled for 12 years. He is an active member of the Church of the Open Door in Westminster. Ezra has been working in children’s ministries at the church for the past 19 years. He is currently in charge of and runs one of the buses for the Bus Ministry and teaches Sunday School for the four year olds and Junior Church for the four to six year old class. Ezra loves church, harmonica, balloons, juggling, his zero turn mower, puns, biking, and playing golf, basketball, and tennis with his brothers. Ezra enjoys learning new skills and the seemingly daily adventures he has while working at CLS, but he enjoys the staff and the families even more. He uses his excellent work ethic and multitasking skills to take care of our building and grounds year round.

Mrs. Higgins spent 20 years in the computer-based testing industry in Account Management and Client Relations before staying home with her children. She has been married to her husband, Sean, for 21 years. They have a daughter, Rebecca, who is a licensed Cosmetologist, and a son, Ryan, who is a senior at Westminster High school. Their family is complete with their two rescue dogs, Mason and Paisley.

Mrs. Arnoult joined the CLS staff in October 2019. She has worked for various non-profit organizations, including schools and churches during her 35+ year career. Mrs. Arnoult has a heart for helping Christian organizations and enjoys serving them with her administrative and number knowledge. She and her husband, David, have three children, including Elizabeth Gordon, the art teacher at CLS, and two granddaughters, Hannah and Abby. She enjoys numbers and doing puzzles in her spare time.
Mrs. Morrison joined CLS in June of 2017. Mrs. Morrison’s past work experience includes working for ten years at Trinity School of Frederick in their administrative office. She and her husband have two children and live in Mt. Airy. Their daughter, Cecylia, works in Frederick and is expecting her first child in October, while their son, Sam, recently graduated from Stevenson University and works in the IT department for a company in Owings Mills. She attends Calvary United Methodist Church. She is a LEGO enthusiast who really enjoys anything LEGO and the show LEGO Masters. Along with spending time with her family, she enjoys trips to the beach, warm weather, reading and taking walks with her two puppies, Jagger and Luna.
Mrs. Dean is excited to be able to provide support to the office of CLS again this year. She has worked in Human Resources for the past 26 years, where she currently runs the office for her husband’s companies. Mrs. Dean has been a part of the CLS community for 9 years now, and serves on the CLS FPP Executive Board. She serves as a member of the marketing, Fun Run, Golf Tournament and Bingo committees and coordinates the monthly restaurant fundraisers. But most importantly, to her, she enjoys taking photos of events at CLS! She and her husband, Drew, live in Westminster, and have one son, Mason, who is currently in the 8th grade at CLS. They are active members of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Westminster. Mrs. Dean enjoys photography, scrapbooking, baseball, roller coasters and fireworks!
