Carroll Lutheran School (CLS) has adopted the curriculum from Carroll County Public Schools as the basis for its academic program. This comprehensive curriculum meets the needs of all levels of learners and ensures that students leaving our school after 8th grade are achieving at least the level of mastery required, should they go on to public high school.
How We Learn
Learning at CLS is based on a child’s mastery of skills at each level. The curriculum meets the basic educational standards and also challenges high achievers. Top priority is given to recognizing and respecting learning differences among students. Values education is within the framework of Christianity, which is the underlying foundation of all curriculum goals for the school. Our service learning and chapel programs help formalize these goals for students.
Academics & Specials
Academics include faith studies, reading, spelling, language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies, supplemented by specials programs in vocal/instrumental music, art, physical education and library.
Resources
The school has a full-time Resource Teacher on staff. Her role is to assist the teachers by working with students who need support or enrichment in particular areas of their learning. More about Academic Support & Accelerated Learning.. |
